I also saw perch, trout and suckers caught near the rock pile.
Yesterday I traveled to Carey and fished Fish Creek Reservoir for two hours. I caught 11 brook trout between 10 and 14 inches and two rainbows about 17 inches.
But with Ririe Reservoir now frozen over, I will fish it about twice each week.

Nice Trout. Looks real cold but worth the shivers...
Happy New Year Bill! You're such a sweetheart! Thank you so much for visiting Casa Hice and leaving such a cute little comment.
I'm all about that trout in your photo! I LOVE fish! Larry and his son went fishing Wednesday and brought home three trout and one red. Not the limit on either. As a birthday gratuity, Larry let Brian take all the fish home, so we had none. :(
You're a rock star for fishing in that cold. I'd die in five minutes.
Stay warm and keep those fish coming!
I love trout, rainbow, book..sometimes here it is called blue trout for some reason. I like the photo below, just standing around in the snow - it is the kind of scene I like!
Oh, my...I've never met a real ice fisherman before. Congrats on the catch, and Happy New Year!
Holy Mackerel! Or should it be, Holy Trout! I love to see photos of ice fishing. So. Cal, doesn't experience it ever. Interesting bio. You've done a lot of worthwhile jobs! (thanks for being a teacher) we love them.
